NOTES OF MEETING IN E'S OFFICE TO DISCUSS POINTS
ARISING AS A RESULT OF STANDARDISATION TESTS IN FRANCE ON
20/25 HP (21-G-IV), Bentley CHASSIS (4-B-IV), AND F.2.CHASSIS
28-EX.
PRESENT:- E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Nm. HB{C. E. Harcombe}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}
(PART TIME) - By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By/Cgh.{W Clough} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.

By/Cgh{W Clough} raised the question of releasing material on sections which are held up for 20-HP. production for G.2. series, and Bentley production for D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} series.

G.2.Series - 20-HP.Material
--------------------------
Exhaust System.
--------------
This can be released as fitted to 21-G-IV. This includes smaller front expansion box particulars and a drawing of which has been issued from BY's department. Exhaust suspension should be as fitted to 21-G-IV. Some doubt existed as to the type of stay from the clutch pit casing to the exhaust intermediate pipe used on the 10,000 mile car. This is to be looked into and a similar stay will have to be instructed for production.

Radiator.
--------
The Harrison type radiator matrix is not to be released yet. Material should be released therefore for the present standard mark III matrix.

Rubber Engine Mounting.
----------------------
It was agreed that material for this should be released. With regard to the report that slackness had developed in the stays from the crankcase to the front crossmember, Design Dept. are looking into the possibility of instructing hardened bushes and pins or some other alternative to prevent this happening.

Propeller shaft Damper.
-----------------------
It was agreed that this could be released for production but should be used with standard Bentley lightened flywheel but without a clutch spring centre.
