Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley.

Specification of
Coachwork for 3.B.5.

In order that you can go ahead with the body for 3.B.5. we send you herewith a specification of chassis particulars necessary to clear the coachwork.

Body: - Design shewn on PD.206. All interior dimensions to be adhered to.

Chassis:- Short wheelbase Bentley, materially the same as that for 2.B.5. except in the following features.

1. Rover type bonnet like 1.B.50. having same top plates but reduced height. (1) Contour at radiator unchanged from 2.B.5. Contour at dash to be settled.

2. Side spare wheel carrier for steel wheels. (2) See F.CD.774 and F.CD.778 sent herewith.

3. Petrol tank with top fittings removed and revised vent pipe. (3) See F.CD.565 sent to you for 2.B.50 and F.CD.744 herewith.

4. Modified front bumper fixings for DWS. hydraulic jacks. (4) See F.CD.749 herewith.

5. Modified rear bumper fixings for DWS. hydraulic jacks. (5) See F.CD.768 herewith.

6. 1.500 hypoid rear axle. (6) Scheme of axle and propeller shaft clearances to follow.
