GOSHAWK 11. FAILURE OF CROSS STEERING LEVERS.
X.4263. X.4219.

We have received a wire from Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} as follows:-
"Cross steering levers bent - send new pair - suggest stronger design"

We have sent off a pair of new levers which are the same as those fitted - the brinell of the two sent off was 285.

Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} again wires as follows:-
"Steering levers are bending worse - car is unsafe to run".

I would also draw your attention to the remarks in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s report with reference to this matter.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
