Re : Chassis 15-MC.

In our D/BP13/CW of the 5th inst., we gave you extract of instructions received from S. and on the 8th inst., we gave you copy of telegram received from Sales, concerning the sending of parts required urgently for chassis 15-MC.

On the 8th inst., the Test Dept: sent us a list of parts which they suggested should be supplied, and these were ordered from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} on Red Sheet 3579 on the same date. The parts however have not yet been despatched.

This morning Sales telephoned through to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}Exp: Dept: stating that this car was still held up waiting for the parts as a result of accident referred to in our memo of the 5th. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} immediately arranged for the parts to be put in the Stores for this chassis, and within two hours of the telephone call, the parts were being sent to London.

It does seem unfortunate that two memos should have to be sent to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, without any reply being received, yet when a telephone call is put through direct to his department, parts can be sent off, at once.

In the meantime the Works have not got the parts away, and the instructions which were issued through Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} should be cancelled as of course they are not wanted now.
