X.493 COPY. C. to RH. {R. Hollingworth} BY6/H5.1.20. X.37356 CHASSIS DYNAMO DRIVE. X.493 X.576 I am sending you herewith a sample length of special belting supplied by the Whittle Company. The point in question is that they have turned the grain of the leather outwards in place of their previous standard practice of having the grain inside in making the belt. I am sending you a copy of their letter herewith, so that you may see exactly what they say, and would like to have your comments as to whether a belt produced by this means is quieter than the standard they have previously supplied.
