RECEIVED NOV 30 1926 X5450 BY C-Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY7/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 19.11.26. (Despatched 30.11.26. Delay due to obtaining cost of scrap). 20 HP. SIDE STEERING TUBE. CONFERENCE OF WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} & BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} In order to prevent complaints arising with customers, which could be avoided, we suggest it is of the utmost importance that all possible cars in "J" Series which can be fitted with a side steering tube having lighter springs, should be so fitted. The cost of this proposal will only be small, as it only deals with small springs and pads for same. An estimate of the actual cost of the scrap involved if we introduced the modification on the 101st chassis in Series 'J' would be £28. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
