X2894 EFC2/T. 7th October, 1926. Mr. G.R.N. Minchin, 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. Dear Mr. Minchin, The crate of FA.11 plates has now arrived. We are sending you privately :- X8680 (1) Finer primary ignition coil No. GP10. (2) Ballast resistance, D type, wound with 50" of 30 SWG. nickel wire. (3) Contact breaker lever and screw point fitted with tungsten contacts. You said you would be pleased to run these on your car. It is likely that you will have less trouble with this combination than with your present combination. I am sending you these unofficially and need hardly ask you in this case, as in the case of the special dynamo which we shall shortly be sending, not to advertise the fact that you are running experimental items. We have not yet been able to get to the dynamo, but hope to very shortly now. x K7A2 We note your remarks on the Lucas magneto, and these are very interesting in view of our own experience. We did not, however, get a satisfactory 10,000 mile test and though it presents favourable prospects there is little likelihood of standardisation of this item for a considerable time yet. Yours faithfully, | ||
