Dear Mr. Grylls, We have despatched to you the sample Bishop Steering Gear together with an additional rocker shaft for test purposes, and we hope that you will find this gear quite satisfactory. As mentioned in one of our previous letters the internal ratio is considerably higher than we usually supply and it may be that a certain amount of the road shock is transmitted back to the steering wheel, owing to the relatively high pitch angle of this particular cam. If you find that this is the case we shall be very pleased indeed to have the gear back and fit it with another cam having a different pitch angle, and you could bring the overall ratio back to what it is at present by making suitable modifications on the levers out-side the gear. Yours faithfully, For CAM GEARS LIMITED, [Signature] Director. | ||
