Dear Sirs, Further to our discussion of last Saturday morning, we hope to deliver to you on Thursday by our van 8 - 6.50/16 tyres from each of the two experimental moulds we recently purchased as part of our programme on the development of a new 16" tyre pattern. Six tyres from each mould will we understand be required for the tests proposed by Mr. Grylls and two from each mould for the experiments on self-centring torque upon which Mr. F.J. Hardy is engaged. We would again emphasize that each of these patterns is purely experimental and that it is our intention to study the effect of various kinds of slots and various distributions of slots upon the performance of tyres from each mould. The undersigned would like an opportunity of further discussing the various aspects of your tyre requirements with you immediately after you have made preliminary tests with these tyres.
