Under conditions laid down in previous memo. carry out full throttle endurance for 22 hrs. in order to compare with 23 W/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Prior to starting endurance a new set of pistons to be fitted, these being omitted on last assembly. No.30 Test Bed. O.H.C. Engine - Bentley. Complete the programme and issue a report on the above engine. Finally, engine to be made as good as possible and if necessary gears quietened on bed in order that it may be given a trial in a chassis. 25/30 Bed. Remove B-9 and send into the shop. This unit is to have a customers cylinder blocks and pistons fitted which give excessive oil consumption. B-3 This unit to be fitted in place of B-9. Has AC.2 main bearings which are new. | ||
