Dear Mr. Robotham,

Thank you for your letter of the 14th instant. Since I understand that Mr. Cowen will be back on Tuesday of next week, it will be in time if I hear promptly thereafter.

I fully appreciate what you say and it only seemed to me an excellent opportunity to get material that I could not spare the time to get at a later period even if I were pressed.

I note that the Hotel du Cap is at d'Antibes and I wonder if you have stayed at the Hotel Cap Martin, which is quite one of the finest spots I know for bathing.

By the way, if I come up to collect the car at Derby, I propose to leave my own for a look-over, bring the new one back, and Mr. Hives mentioned on Friday when I saw him at Crewe that I should stay the night at Duffield. However, I shall hear more from you anon.

Yours sincerely,
Geoffrey Smith.
