S/W. Er. (Copy to Sn{Mr Sanderson}). Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}/W/9.7.28. Re: 20 HP. Chassis - Headlamps. Referring to RY/Cgh{W Clough}7/02.7.28. we have checked the drawing sent and it appears that the centre of these lamps as shown, is 2.825" higher than the present standard and as the radiator is 1.4" higher than at present, it means that the lamps are 1.425" in relation to the present radiator. We note you are instructing these special brackets for R's car and for the two India 3 chassis which the Experimental Department are building and R's car should therefore form a very good means of judging the appearance and as it is quite possible that it will be some time before 'S' see the car, and as we understand from RY7/G12.6.28. that these brackets could be introduced on the second half of 'W' series, we should be glad if you could arrange with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} specially to take a front view of this car with the lamps on, so that we can judge of the appearance Sg.{Arthur F.
