There is just one more remark we would like to make in connection with the instrument illumination which we note you are arranging to improve on the Phantom III. The point is to ask you to try and eliminate all reflected light, or all direct rays of light, when viewed from the front seat.

On 35-EX, if I remember rightly, one could see quite clearly the brightly illuminated rim of the dials, which of course quite neutralized the excellent effect of the illumination of the dial and created a certain amount of dazzle.

The ideal to strive at - as you can appreciate - is that all one should see is the white faces of the figures and the white surface of the pointer, and no other form of white light at all.
