CADILLAC MOTOR CAR COMPANY DETROIT, MICHIGAN CADILLAC and LaSALLE MOTOR CARS December 30, 1930. Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives, Rolls Royce, Limited, Derby, England. My dear Hives: Some men from Mechanics Machine Company were here the other day and mentioned that they would be interested to see drawings of the two R.{Sir Henry Royce} R.{Sir Henry Royce} joints made under their patents. Would it be permitted, do you think, for me to have a couple (Phantom and 25 h.p.)? Happy New Year. Sincerely, Maurice Olley [Handwritten note at bottom] M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley re We had assumed there were no patents & had not therefore made any attempt to approach the Mechanics concern. Will confirm we have no license By [Handwritten note on right, partially legible] Ansd 14/1/31 | ||
