COPY. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from BJ. E.A.C.II. Private. BJ2/H7/12/23. Your memorandum Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}6/M6/12/23 is a great relief to us. We are glad to hear that the E.A.C.II can be tested on the road with our present standard bonnet and radiator so that the complete chassis will not be in any way different from the present standard chassis except that is under the bonnet. Under these circumstances, therefore, all that will be necessary will be to give clear instructions that the bonnet must never be unlocked by an R.R. official on the road or in a garage, or anywhere where an outsider might be present. I am passing a copy of your memo. and of this to PN.{Mr Northey} We were under the impression that the new engine was of such dimensions that it would be necessary for a much larger radiator and bonnet to be fitted, so that its appearance would be unmistakeable a new type of R.R.
