To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PN.{Mr Northey} X.6004. X.6005. PHANTOM II 48 COIL DYNAMOS OF MEDIUM AND HIGH OUTPUT. Further to our EFC3/AD9.1.31, the remarks concerning temperature rise settings of dynamos in our concurrent note EFC4/AD26.1.31 will have been noted. In regard to sheets of curves 4C/50 1. and 4C/50 2. sent to you under cover of our EFC3/AD9.1.31 the temperature settings should now be added to the prints in such a way that in the case of 1. the following lines appear upon it :- I. 56 coil Phantom II dynamo 9° 122° (62C° setting) II. 48 coil Medium output dynamo 16° 132° (58C° setting) III. " " High output dynamo 19.5° 129° (62C° setting) In the case of 2. the following should be added below the title, the figures in the first bracket referring to the brush angles :- (16° 128°) (65C° setting) It was an oversight that the value of quoting the temperature rise settings on the curves had not at the time been appreciated.
