X50 d/ To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and W.Or. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} S.10/HP.30.4.34. 20/25 HP. Engine Rubber Mounting. The car on which Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} went to Nottingham on the occasion of his last visit was fitted with LeC.3852 for the front suspension and LeC.3862 for the rear suspension of the power unit, but was otherwise standard except for the exhaust system being freed. We have since issued LeC.3893 for independently mounting the pedals and LeC.3891 for the central mounting of the radiator. We are now working on the final scheme suitable for standardization for the rear end mounting of the engine and the modification to the exhaust silencer mounting, which should complete the information necessary for making an extended trial. We propose to leave the existing torque feet on the crankcase fitted with rubber buffers which will be clear of the frame for the time being until we have had some more experience and these will be useful for holding up the engine when it is desired to remove the gearbox or clutch.
