To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL EFC3/Tk5.8.28. SEQUENCE STARTER. Referring to your E3/M25.7.28, we are of the opinion that the non-inductive resistance is the best arrangement of the three, being perhaps the least expensive and providing equal, if not more, protection. Examination of the actuator box contacts which have been removed running on chassis 9-EX shows these to be in satisfactory condition ^after 20,000 miles as a result of being protected by this arrangement.
