The curve of the E.80070 camshaft with the large carburetter shows the effect of No. 4 inlet valve being held open and the full power when prevented from so doing.

Our immediate test is the fitting of steel push rods in place of the duralumin rods to find the effect of stiffening up the valve mechanism.
