Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from EFC. c. BP/HP X4008 EFC9/T4.4.28. U.S.A. AUTO SWITCH. The reason for the delay in the supply of this instrument is that having once got the instrument nearly ready, and at the same time having developed a temperature compensation for our own switch, which represented a considerable improvement in its operation, we deemed it advisable to apply this improvement also to the U.S.A. switch. We approached Mr. Nadin on the matter and obtained his consent to do this. Owing to pressure of various matters it has taken a little longer than we anticipated, but we have this day completed the instructioning of this job with the final windings. The instrument is already complete mechanically. The windings will now be corrected, the instrument will be tested, and it should be ready for despatch we hope within a week of working days. We return herewith your correspondence. EFC. | ||
