Phantom III.

Clutch Trunnion Race.

The question arose from Br's report of trunnion race dissembled races polished etc. of how this was accomplished. I have had the routine shown of how Cricklewood do it.

The small pins holding the bronze cage together are knocked out, the races are then polished in the lathe, afterwards the bronze cage is re-rivetted.

Cricklewood have done this for many years to various ball races. They obtain their supply of pins or rivets from the makers.

In cases of chipped ball races, these are scrapped.
