Referring to the width of slot which we are cutting circumferentially round the piston, there is no doubt at all in the Works but that we prefer a .050" width of slot exactly as previously arranged.

In addition to this I understand that the Technical Department are in agreement with our adopting the narrower slot and further that the pistons which are running on the 10,000 miles test are actually produced with the narrow slot in question.

Will you kindly therefore arrange to modify your N drawings in accordance with the above.
