Copy. Callard House. 74, Regent Street. W. 1. 7th April 1933. Major Cox. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. London. W. 1. Dear Cox, I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity of trying the new 40/50 model. Had a very excellent run yesterday and it was certainly one of the most enjoyable drives I have experienced for some considerable time. I found a vast improvement in this car over mine, especially the steering, braking and acceleration. The acceleration on third gear at over 40 miles an hour is absolutely monumental. The highest speed I was able to touch was 98 m.p.h., but had it been possible to have a longer run, it would have attained the 100 mark. The improvement in the steering and brakes gives a great sense of security when driving and altogether it is a very fascinating model. We might get together one day and see if it is possible to come to any arrangement with regard to taking my present car for one of this type. With renewed thanks, Yours sincerely, (Sd) Kaye Don. | ||
