PHANTOM CHASSIS "E" STEERING.
--------------------------------

With reference to N.sch: 2632 showing the above on which it is specified that we are to use standard "D" type pedals and floorboards in every respect, the brake pedal is too close to the column.

As a matter of fact the scheme shows the driver's foot fouling the column, and it would seem to us that special pedals will be required for this type of steering on the lines of what we had for the Continental Phantom.

We shall, of course, require a temporary scheme for supporting the column on the cast dash as fitted on 12-EX at present.

Before we can prepare the necessary detail drawings to enable the Experimental Dept. to fit "E" type steering to 12-EX. it will be necessary for us to have a settlement on the above points.
