Y4262 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG14.3.22. D.F.P. CAR. Y4262 We find it is going to be very difficult to alter the steering column on the D.F.P. chassis so that it shall comply with the dimensions shown by Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} on his sketch. The malleable iron steering box is bolted to the side frame and it will mean extensive alterations to alter it. If you think it is worth while holding the car up here until it is done, we will do so but we cannot give any promise as to when you will get the chassis as all the Mechanics in the works are locked out. If you are prepared to take the car as it is, we could send it down early next week. Will you please let us know what you wish us to do. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Watermark: DICKINSON BOND] | ||
