Stanmore,
MIDDLESEX.

For the attention of Mr. Palmer.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of July 18th. with regard to the needle seat diameter for the A.A.25 carburetter.

We are in agreement with the 2nd. paragraph and had similar results see our letter Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/JH.

In your last paragraph you state that your experience leads you to expect trouble but you give no specific reason.

From information that we have, we fail to see why this should be so and only expect flooding if the finish on the needles and seats deteriorates below the standard agreed upon - see Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}15.7.37.

We understand that the A.A.25 carburetter was designed for a mechanical pump with a maximum pressure of 4 - 5 lbs.sq.in.

On the mechanical pump we have tried (A.J. type AC) the maximum pressure is only 3.35 lbs.sq.in. at the needle seat allowing 1' 6" between the pump and carburetter.

Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}
