We have received from Mr. Rowledge a copy of his letter of the 13th Sept. 1938 to Mr. Ellor, and the following are our Reports on Company. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} to Mr. Stokes

Spitfire cowling drawings. We are now in a position only to re-issue these drawings on a rush job. .21 Major Hives
A new design of Gland has been passed on which considerable development is needed. .21 Capt. Hall
A new camshaft has been designed which dispenses with epicyclic gears. .11 Sykes, Leggat and Johnson.
Test rig details are ok. .13 Test Section.
We hope new bearings will be ready soon. .19 Jolliffe (Vultures).
No further dates yet. .5 Kelby and Housman.
An oil feed is designed which we hope will help this job. .9 Gaiter and Belcher.
Test rig jig out. .5 Overstone.
Cam roller is under active consideration. .20 Toop and Cotton.
Used correct shims. .6 Test Root Doctor.
A new design has been made which we hope will be this time O.K. .8 Head Wrightson.
Glands (fruit). .8 Churly.
