Gentlemen,

For the attention of Mr. West - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.

We have now examined the type 808 sparking plug referred to in your letter of May 2nd and quite agree that the amount of point burning is very excessive.

We would point out, however, that this point burning is not quite so bad as it appears at first glance because we purposely tapered the end of the central electrode as we thought this might improve the slow running qualities of the plug. This now appears to have been a mistake and we are making up twelve more of these plugs with the central electrode of normal diameter. We hope to send these to you for test very shortly.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. K.L.GL{G. Linnett} SPARKING PLUGS LIMITED.
