Re. Mrs Joicey. 2181.

Please note Mr Chichester in his report No.1064 informs us that the driver finds the footbrake inclined to be harsh unless constantly treated with graphite. He suggested Feroda lining to the footbrake, saying he had fitted this to several cars of which he had had charge, and obtained silence without loss of efficiency.
