Attention. Works Committee.

Dear Sir,

Re Pendulum Steering Lever.

Under date of April 15th. we received the following report from Mr.Caswell.

"We are sending, for your inspection, a pendulum lever, C.565, which has broken at the top near the boss. The lever has been in use about eighteen months and, according to the chauffeur, has been 15,000 miles. This lever was fitted by us at the Service Station, to replace one that had been purposely bent to enable a self-starter to be fitted in a peculiar position.

The lever of the same section, that we are now using, is F.6980, and is considerably heavier than C-565 particularly at the section where the fracture occurred. "

We are forwarding, under separate cover, the steering lever above referred to, and upon its arrival please see that it is brought to the attention of the Works Committee.

Yours truly,
ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA INC.
