Our Ref. R/KGC/MP.
14th. July, 1938.

Attention of Mr. Whyman.

Dear Sirs,

We wish to thank you for the interview granted our Mr. Densham recently, and for the information given him which has been of considerable assistance to us in enabling us to make up two preliminary experimental silencers for test on the 25/30 H.P. Rolls-Royce car.

We are dispatching to you tonight, the two silencers in question, these having been given reference Nos. X.431 and X.432.

You will note that the rear end stub of the forward silencer and the front end stub of the rear silencer have been made eccentric, which we trust is acceptable to you. The rear stub of the rear silencer has been made 1¾" i.d. our suggestion being that you try out these silencers with a 1¾" o.d. tail pipe.

We shall look forward with interest to having your observations on the performance of these silencers when you have had an opportunity of testing them.

Yours very truly,

BURGESS PRODUCTS COMPANY LTD.
