On experimental cars we have found that we can entirely eliminate the engine gear rattle which comes from the dynamo drive by fitting a modified form of flexible drive. This coupling was got out some time ago by the D.O. as an alternative to the fabric disc. The drive is taken on four round rubber blocks. At the present time we cannot find a production car which is suffering from engine gear rattles so that we cannot confirm our results. Whenever a case arises of engine gear rattles on either 25 HP. or Phantom ll we should like an opportunity of confirming our results. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
