Sagging pipe issue with the Phantom silencer and a proposed solution using a stay.

-3- Experience on the Phantom silencer suggests that the pipe may be sagging which enables it to come out of the sliding joint. To prevent this, the pipe could be held up to the frame in the centre by a stay. We are going over the exhaust system and it is possible that I shall be coming over with some parts on Monday next by the afternoon air service, in which case I should like you to pick me up at Le Bourget, but I will wire you later.
