RE LUCAS MAGNETOS EBA.6

In accordance with arrangements made with Dr. Turner of the Lucas Co. this morning during his visit on the question of Lucas magnetos, we are desirous of returning to the Lucas Elec. Co., the two Lucas magnetos EBA.6 Nos.155/6, and we send you herewith these two machines.

These magnetos have shown up satisfactorily in respects in which Dr. Turner considers them to be satisfactory, but on any further magnetos to be supplied two points in general are to be altered:-

(1) The magnets are to be slightly increased to bring the slow speed retard performance within our specification with a little margin.

(2) The size of the distributor is to be increased to prevent the tracking effect of the arc when the brush leaves the distributor segment.

There may also be slight modifications on the contact breaker on the new machine.

From a silence point of view, observations on these machines on bench and on chassis, have shown distinct promise of the qualities of the ultimate article, meeting our requirements in a very satisfactory way.
