For the attention of Mr. Stevenson.

Dear Sirs,

This is to confirm our conversation of yesterday. We should like you to produce for us 3 Bentley stabilising bumper bars incorporating the following modifications.

(1) Main spring plates to be Silico Manganese steel with short support plates under fixings to chassis. Plates only to be polished on exposed surfaces on the top and the sides before enamelling.

(2) Bumper ends to have (a) Rubber loaded lead weights (b) cap up set from centre bolt in 3.5% nickel steel, covered with stainless sheet.

(3) Accurate location on centre bolt to be in one piece with the washer FB.2830 and separate from the castellation nut.
(c) Standard Silentbloc bush to replace special unit FB.2336.

(4) Your standard number plate bracket.

As there will be very limited time to test these bumpers we shall be very pleased to do all that is possible to help and supply material.

We shall be very interested to have a drawing of this bumper from you and also the following quotations, for quantities of 200.
(a) As specified in this letter.
(b) As (a) but with our present number plate brackets.
(c) As (b) but with our present silentbloc units FB.2336.

Yours faithfully,
