Broad Street Chambers, Easy Row, BIRMINGHAM Dear Sirs:- Low Pressure Tyres We would confirm the arrangements made on Friday, the 18th instant, with Messrs. Paull, Blake, and Macbeth regarding the above, i.e. (a) It is suggested you re-build the set of 20 HP. Wheels we have here under test, and make them suitable for 6" instead of 7" Low Pressure Tyres, and supply another set of 6" Tyres (5) for use therewith. (b) That you re-build the set of 40/50 HP. Wheels we have here under observation, also, and make them suitable for 7" instead of 8" Tyres, and supply another set of 7" Tyres (5) for use therewith Orders for which are enclosed herewith. You will recollect previously you supplied these Wheels and Tyres free of cost, and we should be glad to hear how you propose to deal with the exchange. It is our intention to return the wheels complete with existing tyres on them to you at Coventry shortly, as the treads (particularly on the 20 HP. set) have worn, and it is felt no useful purpose would be served by testing such 20 HP. Tyres on the re-built 40/50 HP. Wheels you will be supplying shortly. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD. Barron [Stamp] ENCLOSURE No 287 "JUSTSO" | ||
