R.R. 235 A (100 T) (S.F. 846. 6-8-19) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2460. Contd. -2- EFC1/T21.4.20. curves given under cover of our report EFC2/T13.4.20, although the curve for this particular coil is not there given. Owing to the improvement in spark length recently obtained on standard production coils with 21,000 turns, we consider that we might in the near future standardise a secondary winding of 18,000 turns or thereabouts, as the coil is at present rather full and this reduced number of secondary turns would help production. We shall therefore endeavour to get a suitable coil ready with about this number of turns for the next 10,000 mile test. X.30146.(5). Dynamo. The Lucas dynamo has behaved alright. The Objection to the Lucas dynamo is not that it is not well made, but on account of its late cutting in point and moderate output. The disadvantage of this might not have been apparent on the 10,000 mile test as most of the running was done by daylight on the open road. EFC. | ||
