( 2 ) Minutes after starting Speed in M.P.H. 1 2 3 8 11 14 and after 27 60 82 65 73 60 As a final test, while starvation was at its worst the car was stopped, the bonnet removed, and the car driven straight off again. Starvation occurred as before until the under bonnet thermometer indicated 65°c, when complete recovery to maximum speed was obtained with the frame pumps but not the dash pump. When it had fallen to 55°c, maximum speed was also obtained with the frame pump, and there was no further trouble until the bonnet was replaced when starvation again occurred as the under bonnet temperature rose. ----------------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
