HYDRAULIC DAMPERS 18-EX.

Rear Hydraulics - Low pressure valves.

It has been decided to make the low pressure valve loadings on this car 50 lbs. at the ball end. At present they are 60 lbs. The low pressure valves are on the inside of the dampers and are therefore the most accessible of the two valves.

The load of the rear dampers is altered by changing the working length of the spring over the valve. This is accomplished by altering the soft alun. washers A.{Mr Adams} under the valve caps (see sketch). The present washers under the low pressure valve caps are -
O.S. .076
N.S. .084

Will you please replace them with the attached washers -
O.S. .100
N.S. .115

High pressure valves.

These are treated in the same way as the low pressure valves. It has been decided to make their loading on 18-EX 100 lbs. at the ball end. At present their loading is 80 lbs. The washers at present under the valve caps are :-
