R.R. 235 B (50 T) (S.G. 504, 8-1-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2585. To F.E. X.3563 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}8/LG23.6.20. X.3563 CHASSIS THERMOSTAT. The nut we are thinking of when we mention that a spanner should be provided, is the nut which fixes the pipe which short-circuits the radiator. This pipe runs from the Thermostat to the suction side of the Water Pump. We realise that there is a suggested scheme where we are to use rubber joints there instead of unions but we have not yet tested one with rubber joints neither have we got Mr. Royce's approval so we consider that until this has been done, this pipe should stand in its original form - union nuts at each end and one rubber joint in the centre.
