Harker - Sales} - B.125.GP (4 1/4 Litre) When 4 1/4 litre cars have covered a certain mileage, we inspect the bearings and measure the amount of "sinkage" of the upper & lower halves of the bearings. We correct the "sinkage" by stepping the liners and filing the faces of the caps as necessary. We also replace the steel liners with Hall's metal facings by those in Soldd RR.56 metal. We have in the past sent II reports to the Experimental Dept. indicating the amount of "sinkage" of bearings, etc..
