Reversed throttle carburetter; XB7 needle; weak at low speeds.
30 MPH. constant/ ½ gallon/10.4 miles/20.8 MPG.
Fast run not exceeding 60 MPH/ ½ gallon/8.8 miles /17.6 MPG.

XC1 needle, carburation O.K.
30 MPH. constant/ ½ gallon/11.4 miles/22.8 MPG.
Fast run not exceeding 60 MPH/ ½ gallon/9.2 miles /18.4 MPG.

Modified carburetter to LEC.4292; XC needle; as tested by Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}
30 MPH. constant/ ½ gallon /9.8 miles/ 19.6 MPG.
Fast run not exceeding 60 MPH/ ½ gallon/9.1 miles/18.2 MPG.
