Water Pumps. Cars Engines & Carrier.
Would you please get some-one to go through the records to determine which is the best water pump up to date as I wish to fit it to the carrier engine.
There are 4 types or variations.
(1) PL.246. Iron casing with new departure bearings.
(2) RE.1531 Alum " " " ".
(3) PL.405 Hoffman Greseal bearings.
(4) PL.433 Buick parts with new departure bearings.
The last had I think six sets made about the end of 1940.
The water pump position is not at all clear on the specifications of the car engines. It appears to be now essential to tie it down to a definite L.O.P. or instruction sheet.

P.S. there is another type of seal called the Crane Seal which seems to be sweeping through America and we shall have to give this a trial at some future date.
