Dear Sirs,

Watford Magnetos Type SP.{Mr Spinney}12-5
Nos.98088/90.

We duly received yours ref. CHK/HWJ. of the 14th inst. with reference to those parts of these magnetos which are in magnesium alloy. We may not have informed you that the purpose for which these two magnetos have now been allotted is for one of two engines of Sir Henry Segrave's "Miss England", and in this connection it has now been decided that we must have no magnesium alloy on these machines. Accordingly we are arranging for the return of these machines to you with an instruction for the necessary change of the parts in question to aluminium alloy.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
