You got anything new coming along yet? I have been corresponding with Seholm, the Chief Engineer of Cadillac, about a short chassis V16, as the new motor is very good and the car has lots of performance for all its weight. I drove a demonstrator recently, and tested the acceleration with my stop watch. Of course, I don't know how accurate the speedometer was! Anyway, I got about 9 1/2 seconds standing start to 50, and 6 seconds from 30 to 50, in top. These are about the same figures I get with my small Cadillac 60 with the copper plated heads. I'm afraid I could never make much of a sports car of the 16 cylinder chassis, however, and Seholm didn't give me much encouragement! By the way, would you be kind enough to tell me the weight of the Bently engine & transmission? I understand this new 16 Cadillac engine & transmission | ||
