DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}15/CB10-2-21. X.3598a RE GOSHAWK I FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS. We have made a design of front shock absorber based on the present 40/50, which we understood to be you wish. We send herewith a print of "N" Scheme 747. Regarding the attachment of the ball end to the axle, we were going to use the existing front axle, and therefore have not applied the scheme with a taper seating as this seems to call for a boss on the front axle, but as it seems quite possible to get the front springs off with this ball end in position, we think it would be safe to rivet the nut over. We have therefore used the original scheme with the single addition of the riveting. [STAMPED: RECEIVED EFC FEB 12 1921] DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
