Reports have been made on :- X.193 - Measure deflection of frame when one front wheel is raised. X.193 - Frame test by running the front wheels on drums fitted with "humps". X.213 - Revolving test of Front Cross Member with piece of frame in circuit. X.457 - Steering Wobbles, Reversibility tests. X.208 - 18 gallon Petrol Tank with new Suspension, with cross tube. Work in Progress:- file X.703 - Heat Treatment of front end of Frame. This has been found to decidedly improve the condition of the material and the process is now standardised. It is advisable to heat treat the whole of the side members and I understand this is now being arranged for. X.213 - Front Cross Member reinforced with bosses. The revolving test tackle is now being fixed up and tests will be made almost immediately. We have not yet received the test pieces but they are almost completed. The tests are being made to find the correct length of bosses. A fixed load will be applied and run for a given number of reversals, then the bosses will be reduced a | ||
