ATTENTION OF MR. W.A.ROBOTHAM.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I have got a friend who has a boy who is leaving Charterhouse in a month or two's time. His age is seventeen years and my friend has asked me to find out particulars about any training scheme which your firm may have.

I understand from your London branch that I can obtain full particulars of the scheme from you at Derby. Perhaps, therefore, you will be good enough to let me have full particulars which I will forward to my friend.

There is a further matter I have been recommended by London to get in touch with you about, and that is some high compression pistons for a 1939 4 1/4 Bentley. I have got a customer who has got one, the compression ratio of which is now 6 1/3:1. He wants to raise the compression ratio as much as it is possible to do so using Cleveland Discol as the fuel.

I should be extremely obliged if you would let me know if you can supply pistons to give a higher ratio
