SEQUENCE STARTER 2A and 2B SCHEMES.

2A scheme as arranged in the first instance on 14-EX had 5º helical teeth with rounded ends; some remarks were made on this in our EFC4/T26.11.27.

Secondly, and as on the car now sent to you, this arrangement was removed and replaced with corrected parallel teeth with rounded ends, and this is the arrangement referred to in our EFC1/T8.12.27, and as now sent to you on 14-EX. Further modifications of this 2A scheme have been put in abeyance until we receive your comments.

Concerning the 2B scheme, we are, as reported in our EFC10/T12.12.27, proceeding to instruct for the 2B1 scheme to LeC.2441/2 to be put on 9-EX, in this instance using the 5º helical teeth with sharp corners.

The 2B2 scheme to LeC.2496 is being proceeded with.

We are attaching for your convenience a blueprint of the diagram of the sequence starter arrangement on 14-EX. There is one slight fault with this diagram viz. that it shews the contacts operated by the motion of the arm alone to make contact sooner than they do.
