R.R. 235a (100 F) (S.H. 798. 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2948 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c. to ERC. X.4196 Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}4/NJ8.3.21. Champion Spark Plug Co. of Canada Ltd. The London representative of this firm has been here again today and has left with me 12 plugs of a slightly modified type, which I am sending to you with this note. The representative stated that this type of plug is now being supplied to Springfield. You will note that the insulation round the central electrode is smaller in diameter than formerly. It is claimed for this that it gets hotter and burns off the carbon deposit. The central electrode is made of a new alloy, the composition of which is not known to the London representative of the manufacturers. I promised that we would test these plugs and I hope you will find it convenient to do so and let me have a report, however short. The price of these plugs is 1/1d. each delivered Derby, same as quoted for the type previously offered us. 12 Plugs herewith. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
